From several years ago, during the spring season Barcelona has the privilege of being in the top list of cities of the world that receive and organize some of the world’s major sports events.
Some examples are:
“Trofeo Conde de Godó” Tennis Tournament (once again the 2009 winner is our local ATP number 1 Rafa Nadal), Formula1 “Gran Premio de España” (8, 9 and 10th of May), Champions League with our soccer team, F.C.Barcelona playing the Final against the Manchester United next May 27th in Rome and MOTOGP “Gran Premio de Catalunya” on June 14th.

This important sports offer can be, most of the times, the trip complement for many of the visitors that come to Barcelona now or even, in some other cases, is just the reason why they come to our city.
